Healthy Hints and Tips
- Use frozen as a natural option for teething gums!
- Looking for something to feed your toddler? Try cooking pasta or rice and pour one of our delicious purees over top!
- Create your own juice - add water to one of our fruit or veggie purees, stir and drink the tasty goodness - adults too!
- Avoid the conventional DIRTY DOZEN and make sure these are ORGANIC: Peaches, Apples, Bell peppers, celery, nectarines, strawberries, cherries, pears, imported grapes, spinach, lettuce, potatoes.
- If you opt not to purchase organic 100% of the time, try some of the produce items that tend to be lower in pesticides and are rated 'consistently clean' by the Environmental Working Group - US research organization: Bananas, avacados, blueberries, papaya, kiwi, pineapple, plums, mangoes, broccoli & caulifower.
- Screaming baby, frozen food! Plan ahead - take some cups from the freezer and place in the fridge the day before. The cups are ready to eat!
- Certified Organic - Recent studies have shown that organic produce tend to have up to 30% more antioxidants than non-organics. Researchers believe that the developing brain is most in need of these benefits during the first 2 years of life.
