All of our produce is steam blanched or boiled and pureed. We then have to add a small amount of filtered water to create the proper consistency for infants. Our products are immediately packaged and flash frozen for optimal taste and nutritional value.
Our cups are recyclable #5 plastic which is one of the safest types of plastic used for food products.
You have 5 options: 1. Our plastic cup is microwavable. Defrost for approx. 60 sec. 2. Place in glass dish to heat in microwave as above. 3. Double boil on stove until heated 4. Place sealed cup in hot/boiling water 5. Thaw in fridge and serve unheated
Once you defrost Healthy Sprouts - do not refreeze it. If unopened, you can keep it in the refrigerator for 2 days. Once heated, do not reheat. Our products are packaged in appropriate serving sizes so chances are, you will not have any left overs!
50 ml. is just over 3 tbsp. Babies will eat approximately 4 - 6 tbsp. of vegetables, 6-7 tbsp. of fruit and 2-3 tbsp. of meat/alternatives per day in the 6-9 month old category. That works out to approximately 1 - 50 ml. cup of vegetables, 2 cups of fruit and 1 - 2 cups of either Chicken Goumet or Lentil & Veggies per day. Every child is different. Your baby may eat a little more or a little less and leftovers should not be an issue because the food is so good that mommy or daddy will fight for the last bite!
